New Pulleys

A month or two after installing the Square Drift Conversion on my TA05, I noticed the pulleys started turning yellow. It wasn't really a big deal at first, but the yellower they got, the more it annoyed me. I don't think anyone else even noticed them, but to me they stuck out like sore thumbs. After almost a year of this, I couldn't take it anymore. I ordered a set of black "Limited Edition" pulleys, and when I was done installing them, I wondered why I waited so long to replace them.

Waiting for My New Spur...

I finally got around to sealing the lower deck, and it was supposed to be my first full day of testing. However, this happened after only a few minutes of driving:
This is the first time one of my spurs has been eaten after years of owning belt-driven cars, so I guess I really can't complain...

Square TA05 Drift Conversion

Today, I'll start building my next chassis, the Square TA05 Drift Conversion Kit. I've been wanting to try this kit since I first read about it and hope to have it done within the next few days.

Back from Japan

I didn't get a chance to post before I left, but I've been in Japan for the past ten days and just got back home last night. Expect to see plenty of pictures from the Shizuoka Hobby Show, Tamiya Shizuoka Circuit, Speedway Pal, and more over the next few days.

Update

After three weeks of testing I finally started my review of the Tamiya Driftechs. I like them a lot, and a few other people who I let drive my car feel the same way. They're a big improvement over their original Type D tires.

I also got in a set of HPI's new T-Drifts with tread, but I'm not quite sure when I'll get to testing them.

Vacation

This week I'm on vacation in Colorado. When I get back home I should have a few goodies waiting for me, one of which being a set of Tamiya Driftech Tires. I'm looking forward to testing them out and seeing how they compare to their original Type D Tires. I should have a full review up by the end of the month.

Back from Canada

My girlfriend and I just got back from Canada today. It was a bit colder than we're used to, but I still had a good time. Now it's back to working on my projects.
